How this works, in plain terms
A description of the service's actual behaviour — billing, limits and responsibility. It is a summary rather than a contract; the formal terms of service are outstanding, and this is the accurate account until they are published.
The free plan, and what happens after it
Every team starts on Prototype with a monthly free allowance and needs no card. When it is used up, or the team already holds as many of a resource as the plan permits, new provisioning is refused with a 402 and a link a human can open; everything already running keeps running. Nothing is deleted for want of payment without telling you first.
Prototype is for building, not for production: there are no backups, no uptime guarantee, and a resource that has gone 30 days without being used is deleted. You are emailed a week before that happens, and using the resource resets the clock. A paid plan never expires a resource and takes periodic backups of all of them.
Billing
- Usage is metered per resource and recorded in a ledger you can read at any time. An invoice is derived from that ledger when a month closes, so the bill and the line items cannot disagree.
- A budget cap is yours to set. With the hard cap on, provisioning stops at the limit rather than charging past it — which is the point of the control.
- Only the two LLM services meter usage today. Everything else records a 0¢ provision entry, and the interface says so rather than showing a measured-looking $0.00.
Agents acting for you
An agent you register acts on your account and spends your allowance. Reading is granted automatically; provisioning, reading credentials and deprovisioning wait for you to approve them. You can revoke an agent at any time, which kills its token and leaves its resources running. What an approved agent does is attributed to it and charged to you.
Resources and providers
A resource is created at an upstream provider on your behalf and the credentials are standard — you can take them elsewhere at any time. Provider outages are provider outages: the service passes their errors through faithfully rather than pretending otherwise. Deprovisioning a stateful resource keeps data recoverable for seven days unless you force it.
Acceptable use
Do not use provisioned resources for anything unlawful, for attacking other systems, or for evading a provider's own terms. Automated signup at scale to farm free tiers is abuse, and rate limits exist.
No warranty yet
This is early software and it is offered as-is, with no uptime guarantee. Do not put anything on it you could not stand to lose. When that changes, this page will say so.
