# ExtraOrbital — Give your agents room to build

> Provision your project's databases, AI, storage and more with one command. No provider accounts. One bill, one control plane, and prototypes that clean up after themselves.

_Infrastructure for the agent age._

## Your agent builds. We handle the infrastructure.

Databases, AI, storage, auth. Everything your project needs, provisioned with one command. No accounts to create. No human to wake up.

```bash
npx extraorbital provision .
```

[Launch your first project](https://extraorbital.dev/docs/quickstart) · See it in action in the next section.

Zero setup. No account. No card. Free to start.

**One command. All your resources. No human in the loop.**

## “I need an API key.” Not your problem anymore.

_01 / Clear for takeoff_

It’s 2 a.m. Your agent is in the middle of a great idea. A missing database shouldn’t end its night. ExtraOrbital reads what your project needs, provisions it, and puts working credentials where your code expects them.

The page’s interactive demo runs `npx extraorbital provision .` for your next project, from requirements to resources, with no provider console and no keys to hunt down:

- Project detected: it analyses the infrastructure your project needs and finds every service your code expects.
- A safe place for your agent: an account-less secure enclave, with a machine identity, isolated access and no signup.
- MongoDB, Redis and an OpenAI gateway key are each provisioned on the free allowance, with a backup policy applied where it applies and a machine-bound credential issued.
- Writing your .env: MONGODB_URI, REDIS_URL and OPENAI_API_KEY are written to ./.env in your project directory, values concealed on screen.
- Everything in orbit: all three credentials are saved, and your agent can keep building.

1. **Describe it in code.** Your project already knows what it needs. We read its requirements and fill in what’s missing.
2. **Run one command.** Your agent gets real infrastructure without opening a provider console or asking you for a key.
3. **Keep the good ideas.** Claim the project when you’re ready. Keep the resources, the code, and all the momentum.

## You have a monorepo. Now give your infra a home.

_02 / One project. One orbit._

Ten providers shouldn’t mean ten accounts, ten bills, and ten places to check when something breaks. A config file in your repository connects the whole project to ExtraOrbital.

### Many resources. One invoice.

All your usage in one place. Pay as you go, set spending limits, and see what every project costs.

| Illustrative usage | Amount |
| --- | --- |
| Databases | $2.40 |
| AI inference | $5.10 |
| Storage + cache | $0.80 |
| **One usage total** | **$8.30** |

_Illustrative usage; plan fees are separate._ [Meet your simpler bill](https://extraorbital.dev/pricing)

### Ground control. For the whole project.

Monitor every resource, back up the project with one policy, and keep an eye on health without hopping between consoles.

- Backups: operational — project policy
- Resources: connected — one control desk
- Budget: under control — cap enabled

## Your secrets shouldn’t live a secret life.

_03 / Keys with a chain of command_

That copied .env file. The old teammate’s laptop. The server you forgot about. Know which machine has access, see what it did, and cut the connection when you need to.

- Credentials scoped to each machine and resource
- An immutable audit trail of every operation
- Revoke a machine or rotate a project’s secrets in a click

The access diagram shows one project (access control EO–1) and the machines that hold its keys: your laptop (connected), a build agent (connected) and a retired machine (revoked). Every access leaves a trace.

## Big ideas. Small footprints.

_04 / Designed to disappear_

Let your agents experiment without leaving a galaxy of forgotten databases on your bill. Give a resource a deadline. At the end, it’s deleted. No cleanup ticket. No subscription archaeology.

Perfect for throwaway branches, overnight prototypes, and “what if?” Make it permanent when the experiment becomes the product.

Build now, leave nothing behind: a resource lifetime runs from 1 hour to 3 days, and the resource is deleted automatically when it ends. For a 24-hour Redis:

```bash
npx extraorbital add redis --ephemeral 24h
```

## The right resource. Without the account safari.

_05 / A whole constellation_

Postgres · MongoDB · Redis · Object storage · OpenAI · Anthropic · OpenRouter · Voice AI · Auth · Realtime · Vector search · Queues

[Explore all resources](https://extraorbital.dev/resources)

## You can build the app. Now you can provision it, too.

_A transmission to the agents_

No more sending your human on a scavenger hunt for credentials. Read the requirements, provision what’s missing, and keep working. Start autonomously on a free allowance; bring your human in when there’s something worth keeping.

```text
# Inside your project
$ npx extraorbital provision .
✓ Requirements detected
✓ Resources provisioned
✓ Credentials written
→ Continue building.
```

## A few things worth knowing.

_Before you launch_

**Do I need an account to start?**
No. An agent can provision in its own sandbox on a free allowance. A human can claim the project and move it to production when it is ready.

**Do I need accounts with every provider?**
No. ExtraOrbital handles provisioning and credentials. You get one project, one control panel, and one place to manage the bill.

**What happens when a resource expires?**
An ephemeral resource is deleted at its deadline. Keep it by making it permanent before that deadline. Ephemeral is for experiments, not data you need to preserve.

**How does pricing work?**
Prototype with free allowances. For production, the current Pay-as-you-go plan is $20 per member per month, plus resource usage at supplier cost. Machines do not take a seat. See [Pricing](https://extraorbital.dev/pricing) for current rates and limits.

## Less setup. More liftoff.

_Your next idea is cleared for launch_

```bash
npx extraorbital provision .
```
